Vijaya Bank Recruitment of 800 Posts of Probationary Clerks Project 2012 -13

Vijaya Bank Recruitment Project - 2012 -13 - No.02/2012 -  Clerical Cadre (Clerks) 


Probationary Clerk (Clerical Cadre)

Pay Scale : Rs.7,200/- to Rs.19,300/- ( Rs.12,700/- per month Approx.)

Total Number of Posts : 800 (UR – 333 ; OBC – 108 ; SC – 210 ; ST – 149) 

Age Limit : 18 to 28 Years as on 01/08/2011- Relaxation as per Government Rules.

Essential Qualification : i) Candidates should have appeared for CWE for Clerical cadre held in 2011 from a centre in a State/UT for which vacancies he/she wishes to apply. ii) Should be able to read, write and speak English. iii) Should possess proficiency in the official language of the State/ UT (ability to read, write and speak local/State language) in which they have appeared for the Common Written Examination and in which they have qualified.

Educational Qualification : 
i) A pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in Matriculation/SSC (old pattern)/SSLC/10th Std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XSM candidates a pass in the aggregate in Matriculation/SSC (old pattern)/SSLC/10th Std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent.  OR

ii) A pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern)/ 11th Std. of 11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate/ Pre – University or any equivalent examination/ Diploma in Banking recognized by Central/ State Government or U.T. administration. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XSM candidates a pass in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern)/ 11th Std. of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate/ Pre – University or any equivalent examination/ Diploma in Banking recognized by Central/ State Government or U.T. administration.  OR

iii) Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Selection Process : Depending upon the number of vacancies, only those candidates (with the above minimum score in the CWE conducted by IBPS and possess a valid score card issued by IBPS), who have applied to our Bank’s vacancy notification and rank sufficiently high in the order of merit based on the TWSand as decided by the Bank shall be called for interview.

Interview Details : The interview shall be conducted to assess the personality traits having bearing on interpersonal competence, emotional stability, adaptability, courtesy, self confidence & temperament, positive attitude towards work/ people and communication skills etc. Maximum marks for interview shall be 100 with minimum qualifying marks of 40% (35% in case of Reserved Category candidates as per GOI guidelines).  Final selection will be on the basis of the merit ranking reckoned after adding the marks obtained in the Total Weighted Score inthe CWEand Interview.
