The Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Delhi I, invites applications for the recruitment of meritorious Sports persons in the following games/sports :  Archery, Athletics, Badminton, basketball, Boxing, Chess, Cricket, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Tennis, Weight Lifting and Wrestling.

Details of the Posts Under Sports Quota :

1. Inspector

No. of Posts : 05 (UR – 04 / OBC – 01)
Pay Scale : Rs.9300 – 34800 + Grade Pay  Rs.4600
Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognised University
Age : 18 – 27 years as on 25th October 2012

2. Tax Assistant
No. of Posts : 25 (UR – 14 / OBC – 07 / SC – 03 / ST – 01)
Pay Scale : Rs.5200 – 20200 + Grade Pay  Rs.2400
Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognised University and having data entry speed of 8000 key depressions per hour
Age  : 18 – 27 years as on 25th October 2012

3. Stenographer Grade III
No. of Posts : 07 (UR – 04 / OBC – 02 / SC – 01)
Pay Scale : Rs.5200 – 20200 + Grade Pay  Rs.2400
Qualification : 12th Pass or equivalent
Age : 18 – 27 years as on 25th October 2012

Selection Procedure : i) Ground / Proficiency Test (80% Weightage) ii) Written Test (10% Weightage) iii) Interview (10% Weightage)

How to Apply : Candidates are required to apply in the prescribed format. The application complete in all respects with necessary enclosures like attested copies of documents in support of Age, Qualification, Sports eligibility certificate, Caste certificate etc should be addressed to the Additional Commissioner of Income – Tax (Hqrs.Personnel), Room No. 378, C.R.Building, I.P.Estate, New Delhi – 110 002. The envelope must be superscribed as ” application for the post of Inspector / Tax Assistant / Stenographer GR III under sports Quota” (In capital letters), and with the name of Sport mentioned clearly.
