High Court - Bombay - Stenographers - Higher Grade - Lower Grade - Permanent Post

Applications are invited for the preparation of Select list and Wait List for the posts of Stenographer(Higher Grade)  and   Stenographer [Lower Grade] in  the High Court  of  Judicature at  Bombay.  1% of the  posts are  reserved for    the  persons    with disability, i.e. for those whose one leg is affected, as per High Court Notification No. Rule/X – 2319/71, dated 20th November, 2009.

1. Stenographers - Higher Grade

No. of Posts : Select List of 13 candidates and Wait List of 13 Candidates.

Pay Scale : Rs.9300­34800  plus Grade Pay Rs.4400/­ and other allowances as admissible under the rules.

2. Stenographers - Lower Grade

No. of Posts : Select List of 20 candidates and Wait List of 20 Candidates.

Pay Scale : Rs.9300­34800  plus Grade Pay Rs.4300/­ and other allowances as admissible under the rules.  

Age Limit : 21 - 33 years -  the age limit  shall be relaxed by five years in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes or Special Backward Class specified for the time being by the Government of Maharashtra and Goa. 

Qualification : Possess University Degree. Preference being given to the candidates possessing Degree in Law.However, this condition may be relaxed in the case of [a] Stenographer [Higher Grade], if  the candidate is already working for not less than 5 years as Lower Grade Stenographer in the High Court or in any other Court or Tribunal or in the office of Advocate General or Government Pleader and [b] Stenographer [Lower Grade] if the candidate is already having not less than 3 years experience.

Application fee : Rs.100/-  IPO - drawn in the name of “The Registrar [Personnel], High Court, Appellate Side, Bombay to be enclosed along with the application>

The application complete with all details and necessary enclosures should be addressed to the “Registrar (Personnel), High Court, Appellate Side,   3rd Floor, P.W.D. Building, Fort, Bombay­400  032” and  be sent only by R.P.A.D./Speed  Post, in  an  envelope duly superscribed with the words “Application for the post of 'Stenographer(Higher Grade)'  and/or ‘Stenographer(Lower Grade)’” as the case may be.
