IBPS CWE Clerk II 2012 - 13 Common Written Exam for Recruitment in Clerical Cadre

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection - Bank Jobs - Notification – Public Sector Banks 

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has issued Notification for Common Written Exam for Recruitment in Clerical Cadre IBPS CWE 2013 application are invited ONLINE from 15 October 2012 to 05 November 2012 for Selection of Clerk Recruitment posts in Various types Public sector banks. With the validity of the scorecard issued for the first CWE for Clerks held in November/ December 2011 expiring in February 2013, the next Common Written Examination (CWE Clerk-II) as a pre-requisite for selection of personnel for Clerical cadre posts in the Public Sector Banks will be conducted online by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) tentatively in December 2012.

The Candidates will be eligible to apply for Clerical Cadre Vacancies in these banks : 1) Allahabad Bank  2) Andhra Bank 3) Bank of Baroda 4) Bank of India 5) Bank of Maharashtra 6) Canara Bank 7) Central Bank of India 8) Corporation Bank 9) Dena Bank 10) IDBI 11) Indian Bank 12) Indian Overseas Bank 13) Oriental Bank of Commerce 14) Punjab National Bank 15) Punjab and Sindh Bank 16) Syndicate Bank 17) UCO Bank 18) Union Bank of India 19) United Bank of India 20) Vijaya Bank.

Each of the Banks will issue individual recruitment notifications, details of vacancies, eligibility criteria etc separately, IBPS score card holders may apply for these vacancies for each bank when the vacancies are advertised 

Educational Qualification (as on 01.10.2012) : Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Age Limit (as on 01.10.2012) : 20 to 28 years (Relaxable for SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years,  PWD – 10 years)

Computer literacy : Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory.

Official Language : Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable

Exam Pattern : The Examination will be conducted ONLINE. Objective Type Questions in the following Subjects 1) Reasoning  (40 questions of 40 Marks) 2) English Language (40 questions of 40 Marks) 3) Numerical Ability (40 questions of 40 Marks) 4) General Awareness with special reference to Banking Industry  (40 questions of 40 Marks) 5) Computer Knowledge (40 questions of 40 Marks). The Total Marks would be 200 and the  Examination would be of 2 hour Duration, and the questions would be set in English and Hindi.

Negative Marks :  For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

Application fee : Rs. 400/- for general candidates and Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates. Fee must be paid through online mode or offline mode.

How to Apply : The eligible and qualified candidates have to apply through online from the www.ibps.in website between 15-10-2012 to 05-11-2012. No other mode of application will be accepted.
