ODISHA OPSC Recruitment for 05 Posts of Geophysicist in (Group-B)

Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) invites applications for filling up of 05 Geophysicist in (Group-B) vacancies in Odisha Mining and Geology Service under Steel and Mines Department. 

Post Name : Geophysicist in (Group-B)

total Posts : 05 Posts [Gen (Female – 01), SEBC – 01, SC – 01, ST – 02]

Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800/- + GP Rs.4600/-

Qualification : At least 2nd Class Post Graduate Degree in Exploration or Applied Geophysics from any recognized University or the degree in Geology and Geophysics from the I.I.T. or equivalent degree, diploma or certificate from any recognized institution.

Age Limit : 21 – 32 years as on 1st August 2012. (Relaxation as per Govt. Rules)

Application fee : Candidates are required to pay Rs.200/-(SC/ST of Odisha only are exempted from payment of this fee). Payment can be made in any of State Bank of India (SBI).

Selection Procedure : The selection of candidates for recruitment to the post will be made on the basis of  career assessment and Viva Voice Test. 

Essential Requirement : The candidate must be able to speak, read and write Odia fluently and must have passed at least an examination in Odia language equivalent to that of Middle English School standard conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha or the Education Department of Government of Odisha or any other Board or Council of Secondary Education approved by the Government of Odisha in support of passing of Odia Language Test (M.E. School standard)
